Expiring Domain Names - Should you let them go or renew them before it is too late?

What happens when you let your domain names expire?  You might have a lot of cheap domain names in your registration account and they become due year after year.  Are you going to let your domain names go bad?  Are you going to spend the full amount to pay for your web addresses when it is time to register them for another year?

Some of your domains might be a hit and others could be a miss.  You have to think about the cost of renewing or just deciding to let the domains go.  Each company will be different.  Just know that there are going to be other people online that are searching for online domain name gold.  Just think about all the hard work that you put into building up the domain name.  You might be letting someone step into your hard work.  How could this be the case?  What have you done to get people to come to the web address that you have owned over the last year?  Have you written articles?  Have you made videos?

Investing in expired domains is something that people like to do on the web.  They are hoping to pick up a web address for a little bit of money and get some traffic by accident from the links on the web.  There might be articles pointing to the domain.  Just consider this when it is time to renew your online domains.

Sometimes the web addresses that you bought the year before were just impulse buys.  You got a low cost coupon code and took the jump and bought a domain.  It might have had a funny extension, but you did it anyway.  The year passed by and now you can let the experiment end on a good note.

Domain names have lots of different uses and maybe you decide to take the web address in a new direction later.  You might even take a chance at letting the web address go back into pool and come back to it later.

How are you going to feel if you let your domain names go and then find that someone else has a better plan for it than you did?  You might type in the web address and see a better viable option.  Would you feel bad that someone else has a better online strategy?  Would you take note and start changing the way that you use some of your web addresses?

What you don't want to happen is to have a domain name in your account that you never do anything with.  You don't want to let a whole year go by without taking any action.  Don't think that it cannot happen.  When you have lots of internet marketing addresses and dreams, it could be easy to over look one, two or a few.
