5 Reasons for Learning How to Code

1. Problem Solving - You want to learn to be a problem solver.

There are going to be problems that need to be solved and coding is one of the ways to get it done.  Sure, you could write down solutions with your pen and pad, but writing computer code to do calculations and creating algorithms can be efficient.

2. Skill Development - You want to get a good skill.

Coding is a skill.  You have to put the work into learning new languages, but you are better for it.  You will start to stretch your thinking.  You see problems and start thinking about how to tackle with your coding skills.  Could a loop break it down?  Could a function make the problem smaller or go away?

3. Solutions - You want to develop solutions.

You eat problems and you spit out solutions.  Programmers can think with the end in mind and they create the digital roads to get there.  Sure, there are a lot of false starts and errors along the way, but getting the goal at the finish line is really a great feeling.

4. Ownership - You want to run your own business.

You want to do something and own it.  Sure, you could take your coding skills and work for others, but at the same time, you could setup your own business and go after your own business dreams.  Once you have the skills, what can stop you?

5. Unlimited Income - You want to go for digital income.

Working in the form of an employee might be the line that a lot of people fall for, but you understand that with software you could go after unlimited income.  They keep on finding ways to sell software over and over again.  Just think about some of your favorite online subscription services.  They keep on hitting those credit card bills month after month.  Can you see the potential for unlimited digital income?
