CPA Evolution + Retargeting + List Building

What will it take to get the ball rolling in your home business?  You don't want to keep your wheels spinning without making any progress.

Just a few days ago, there was an online video that talked about a type of business that lots of people like to try.  It is a special type of business that is in the marketing area.

The video talked about a lot of the things that marketing videos discuss.  You have seen it all before.  They talk about the big problems that they had in marketing.  They talk about all the different ways that they failed and how they finally found the key to getting ahead in business.

The video was not a bad video and in fact, it was really good.  They talked about doing the same old things over and over again.  Have you ever tried something that didn't work, but you kept on doing it hoping that it would turn around?

The focus on getting the right information was the bottom line in the video.  The topic was that things can change.  You might have heard about list building.  The video talked about list building without going after email addresses.  Marketing is changing and it is just a fact.  There are more upgrades and advancements that make some methods obsolete.

The area of marketing is a special form of affiliate marketing called cost per action marketing.  The name of the product was called cpa evolution.  The video gave some examples of the new online list building with retargeting.

Retargeting is probably something that you are already experiencing online.  You visit a website and then you go to other websites and see ads for some of the previous products that you looked up online.

I don't know if cpa evolution is a great product or not.  I do know that the idea of getting the right information and staying up to date with the current technologies is important.

Another big point that was made included the big switch happening with computers.  People generate web traffic with mobile devices.  If you are still thinking about marketing in terms of a desktop computer, you are behind the times.  You have to consider that the people looking at your information online are going to be using a mobile device and searching with a mobile browser.

Traffic Bonanza

Getting into the flow of traffic just makes better sense.  There were a couple of books that I read over the last few days that really put this front and center.

The first book was called act now and it talked about one of the most powerful ways to get traffic and conversions. This was not a free traffic source though.  It talked about the power of using tv ads.  The method was creating infomercials.  Most people are not trying to even think about spending money on running television ads.  They are looking for the free traffic bonanza.

Hunting for the free traffic these days can be a real task.  The web is not just people sitting back at home on a desktop computer.  The internet is mobile and people are using the web in a different way.  Enter the social media networks and mobile phones.

One way to go after both markets is to venture into video marketing.  Think youtube videos.  It is a chance to get into another search engine and it is available in the mobile world.

Learn about integrated marketing

Another great little book on business is called integrated marketing.  The book is really not that long, but it goes right in.

It breaks down the most important parts of business.  Are you wasting a lot of time on stuff that does not really matter?

Instead of playing around with the dumb stuff, this book gets right to the point of where the action is.

It examines some of the big business deals that have turned small companies into really huge ones.  You will be familiar with the companies mentioned.

This book identifies the important points that take place in business.  They are right in front of your eyes, but you might not be paying attention to them.

The book is short, but you want to read it and see how you can use it for your business going forward.

Don't Throw when you can run it in

One big lesson that can be learned from the Seattle Seahawks loss to the New England Patriots is that you don't have to over complicate things.

Keep it simple.  What about just doing the basics?  What about playing to your strengths?

You might have lots of options for trying to score, but your judgement could get cloudy.  Over thinking a situation can be real.

Sticking with the basics is sometimes overlooked.  There are complex situations, but the fundamentals and basics are tried and true.

Sometimes it can be hard to keep on doing something that works.  Does it get boring?  It might be the thoughts of innovation that are trying to dominate.

The seattle seahawks have the best running back in the game ( Marshawn Lynch).  They were inside the red zone with plenty of time on the clock.

They let the clock run down.  They only needed 1 yard to win the game.  The offensive line had been winning in the running game against the Patriots.  Instead of sticking with what was working, they tried to get cute and they blew the whole season ( with the slant in the middle of the field).

Do you think they made the wrong decision?  Should the Seattle Seahawks have just kept it simple like pop warner 101 basic simple and given the football to Beast Mode?
