You can create all kinds of sites online. Take something that you really enjoy and see if you can make a site with it.
Writing might not be your thing. There is still space online for more than just writing text online. Sure, there are plenty of people that immediately think about writing when it comes to online sites, but not everybody falls into that category.
Take some pictures and post them to your blog. You have heard the old saying about a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Get a cheap digital camera and take some photos. Share your pics online through your photo blog. People might come to your site to see the interesting photos that you post.
Photos and pictures get shared in different places online. You see pictures all over places like facebook and twitter. Social media is a perfect outlet for sharing good looking photos.
What if you are not good with taking pics? Don't stop because of that. You have some choices. You can get better at taking pics with time. Just like anything else, you want to do more of it to get better.
The other option for photos is to use programs to create graphics. There are some inexpensive graphics softwares that you can use to make great looking images.
Your images don't have to be serious. They could even be really funny. Just take a look at some of the funny meme pics that are available. You might be a really funny person that could come up with great tag lines for pictures. This is what memes are all about.
What if you don't want to take pics? Go in the other direction and hit the record button and become a podcaster. Do you like talking about stuff? Do you like educating? Do you just want to share some of your opinions? Record your stuff and put it on your blog.
Another option for recording is to bring your articles to life by putting a voice to them. You might already have a lot of articles in your hands, but they are on a blog, but they are not getting the traction that you think they deserve. What about opening up a recording program create an mp3 of the articles? There is a whole group of people that might ignore a long article, but they might listen to a great mp3 about subject they are interested in. Just think about the busy people that don't feel they have the time to sit down and read a super long article. How much easier is it to download an mp3 file and press play?
