Put on the Business Owner Hat

Starting your home business gets off the ground with changing your mind.  You are moving from the employee mindset to the business mindset.

What is different about being an owner?  The owner has to take action and initiative.  The owner has to come up with offers and be ready to adjust to rejection.

The employee completes assigned tasks.  The owner has to do the extra task of designing, planning and executing.

Are you ready to step outside of the employee role to earn money?  Most people are afraid to try to earn money from an entrepreneurial lane.  Business owners have to be ready to deal with hearing no and be able to keep moving forward after failure.

Biz owners have to build up skills and adjust to changing market conditions.  Employees are really shielded from the real business market.  Management and leadership has to find out what is changing and adapt.

Regular people are experiencing business transactions everyday.  They just don't see themselves as business owners.  Every time that they go to the gas station, they are reacting to price changes.  Sometimes the price of gas is going up and other times the price is going down.  When they are shopping at the grocery store, they are paying different prices for items.  The regular person is budgeting and spending money.  They are paying bills all the time.  The business owner is doing the same thing, but they are operating from a different side of the table.

Biz owners are buying items that make more money.  They are buying equipment instead of buying items for fun and entertainment.  Owners are looking at ways of increasing value.  They are looking at customer demand and finding a way to fill it.

Are you ready to put on the hat of the owner?
