Data and More Data - Think about your business

Learning about the new nosql databases.  Data and big data are the hot talk.  What are you doing about big data for your business?  Are you thinking in terms of large amounts of data and how it could help your business or transform your business?

You might be hearing about new ways of getting things done because of tech.  Crowdfunding and crowdsourcing are two new areas.  People have lots of tech floating around.  People can pull up websites with their mobile phones.  They can follow causes or create new ones.   New business models are coming into the real with the power of new tech.

How is more tech and more data going to change the way that you do business?  Tech does change things.  Do you go into the bank and talk to a teller to do your banking or do you use the atm machines and your debit cards to get transactions completed?  Are you using mobile banking apps or picking up the telephone to talk to bankers?  Tech is advancing and the businesses advance too.

Data is all around and more data is on the way.  You might have heard about the internet of things.  This is where the devices are getting connected and plugged into the network.  This means even more data is going to be created.  Learning about big data and how to use data for your business is going to be needed.  Waiting is not an option.  The big data options are all ready lining up.

Start taking online tutorials talking about the nosql databases.  Start thinking about how your business can use big data.  Learn some of the programming languages and coding frameworks.  Even if you are not going to be the person that is doing the coding, just learning an overview can be helpful.

The changing tech landscape creates winners and losers.  Just like when the new tech in the old days came into the forefront, some companies jumped on the bandwagon fast and others were lagging behind.  Don't be like the companies that didn't get a fax number until it was too late.  The web and networking and programming are changing the way that things get done.
