Are you ditching the article directories for other traffic sources?

Creating niche websites for little bits of money and driving traffic to them can take some time.  You might be going after article marketing traffic and using online article directories to help people find the sites on the web.

The article directory angle might be a little bit played out at the moment.  People would go to the big article submission sites to place articles and hope that other webmasters would pick up the content and share it with their large mailing newsletter lists.  

Now, you might setup a quick little niche site with wordpress or joomla and then start coming up with online strategies for bringing people into the site.  Could it be worth your while to open up social media accounts and post content that gets people to click over to your tight little niche blog? Could you create little online videos and post them to youtube or other free blogging sites?  

Writing articles and posting content online is not going anywhere, but the article marketing site directories took it on the chin with an upper cut from the big online search engines.  Small niche sites like cheaptablet.rocks might even need to have some paid traffic sent their way.  

The internet marketing game is always in flux, so keep your head on a swivel.  The marketing topics and tactics are constantly changing.
